Cement Saves National Parkway

"Reclaiming is recycling", proclaimed Dale Cronauer, vice-president of Blount Construction Co. of Marietta GA. "It's re-using what we already have, and what we've already bought, instead of throwing it away and starting over."

Truer words were never spoken.

After attempts to stabilize the roadway with other materials failed, the National Park Service turned to portland cement to save the three-state-long NATCHEZ TRACE PARKWAY, according to a October 2003 Road & Bridges article. The article highlights the benefits of what we've been talking about --- RECYCLING ROADWAYS WITH CEMENT.
